Feed Tomorrow 2015
We then all hopped on the School Bus Tour that took us to Ryerson Community School, First Nations School of Toronto and Dundas Junior Public School to show us the nutritional program in each establishment. We met with community volunteers and children, and learn first-hand about the need these programs address. Feed Tomorrow week is here to raise awareness and collect pledges to help feed Toronto’s students, address issues of poverty, hunger, poor nutrition and their effect on kid’s education and growth.
With the support from Toronto City Council, hundreds of volunteers, supporters and very generous sponsors, Feed Tomorrow week is the largest awareness campaign of its kind for student hunger and nutrition programs. The TFSS supports 160,000 nutritious meals every school day. These meals are provided through over 700 Student Nutrition Programs, primary school-based, where students eat a healthy breakfast, lunch or a snack.
Here are few pictures of this very special day.
