Alaya & Daniel | Engagement We always suggest our couple to do an engagement session prior to the wedding so they can see how we work and get familiar with the camera pointing at them. Alaya & Daniel needed none of those warm-up because they were naturally comfortable and fun in front of the lens, a dream for any photographer. We drove down to Dundas Peak for a beautiful view of the city. Fun summer day with a lovely couple. Gear: Canon 5D Mark III | Canon 6D Location: Spencer Gorge Conservation Area, Hamilton

Carolyn & Bruce | Wedding Bruce has loved Carolyn for a very long time. Their love story goes way way back when they were dating during their younger years. Concentrating on their professional career, they went on and lived a separate lives. Fast forward 40 years later, fate has brought them back together again. But this time when Bruce popped the question, Carolyn said yes. There’s always a happy ending. -Dewey Ceremony: Toronto City Hall | Reception Venue: Sassafraz

Serly & Tho | Engagement We started our engagement session exploring the Ryerson campus, where Todd graduated. Toronto never seems to stop surprising us as we can find beauty anywhere we turn. Serly & Tho wanted their beloved city featured in their pictures. Roaming around the busy downtown and the waterfront, we sure had a great time capturing these precious moments for the soon to be wed couple. Gear: Canon 5D Mark III | Canon 6D Location: Ryerson University

Shannon & Chris | Wedding The entire wedding day was held at the beautiful Heintzman House. One of the oldest buildings in Thornhill, Ontario. We loved how Shannon was calm and really taking her time to absorb every happy moment from her wedding day. She is a very talented mosaic artist, so needless to say, the details from all the hard work that she had put in to making the beautiful mosaic centrepieces were phenomenal. Their wedding had flavour popcorn station, ice cream truck “of course we lined up to get some and by the way, we caught some people on camera going to the truck three times haha”. These two definitely know how to treat their guests and we are glad we were able to capture all the joy that they brought to their loved ones. We knew exactly what we were walking into on the wedding day as this couple did not hold back on their engagement session. This was a remarkable celebration of two silly adults who truly love each other. Congrats to Shannon & Chris. -Kim & Dewey From the bride: Absolutely fabulous wedding photos! We were shocked that everything could look so perfect! They captured […]

Devina & Brendan | Engagement Brendan and Devina met in the spring of 2012, at Brant House, while they were enjoying a night out with their friends. Although Devina had passed her two drink limit that night, and has little, to no memory of meeting Brendan at all, the two decided to reconnect a few weeks later at the movies after Devina got reassured by her friend that Brendan was in fact “good looking”. Brendan proposed to Devina on October 2nd, 2015. He retraced their second date, which had originally ended with them losing their way to a gelato store, and landing up in a random park in Toronto. This time around, Brendan knew exactly where he was heading, but Devina didn’t. When they arrived at the dimly lit park, Devina got startled as she saw a dark shadow walking towards her. To her surprise, the Shadow approaching was none other than a musician who had been arranged to play Ed Sheeran’s ‘thinking out loud’, as Brendan got down on one knee, with a gorgeous ring in his hand. Lily & Oliver | Engagement From the bride to be: We met through a mutual friend at a dessert place and exchanged contact numbers. Naturally we grew onto each other, as time progressed we started dating. It was simple but it felt right.. Right for each other -Lily Gear: Canon 5D Mark III | Canon 6D

Happy Birthday Jocelyn!

Mitwa & Ralph | Wedding How excited were we to meet up with Mitwa & Ralph for their big day after the awesome time we had shooting their engagement session in Montreal last summer? VERY excited! Mitwa & Ralph are fun and they have such great chemistry that will make any photographer want to spend more time with them. Here’s a glimpse of this lovely day filled with joy and emotions. As we drove into the hotel to meet with Ralph, we couldn’t help but noticing a huge coach bus parked in front of the building. His family and friends all came down from Cleverland to attend this wonderful day to celebrate the union. One thing for sure, that bus ride must have been a lot of fun as they didn’t seem to hold back on the wedding night. Ralph and his groomsmen spent the morning getting ready and acting silly which we couldn’t help but to laugh along. Boys will be boys. Meanwhile, Mitwa and her bridesmaid were getting ready at her family home. As she walked down the stairs in her dress, it was hard not being emotional as you could see the sparkles in her mom’s and […]

Canadian Cancer Society Volunteer Appreciation Event Earlier this year, Dewey and I volunteered for The Canadian Cancer Society by selling daffodils pin during the Daffodils month in April. It was a great and fun experience. Few months later, we’ve received an email invite to the Canadian Cancer Society Volunteer Appreciation Event. Without hesitation, we emailed them back and asked them if they would need photographers for the event as we would gladly volunteer our time once again. The event highlights all the efforts from the volunteers and the difference they’ve made towards the fight against cancer. Awards and prizes were delivered to the guests who have devoted their time to the society for many years. Dewey and I have both lost loved ones to cancer. Being able to help out and support a cause that is so dear to our heart is a fulfilling accomplishment. Here are a few pictures of the event. The Shoe Box Project 2015 The Shoe Box Project is an amazing charity that collects and distributes gifts in the form of shoeboxes to women in shelters. Each shoebox is filled with items valued at $50 that a woman would enjoy but would not splurge on for herself in difficult times. These shoeboxes brighten the holiday season and let the women know they are special and not forgotten. Each box contains different female-friendly items such as beauty and personal hygiene products, specialty teas, mitts, socks, perfume, chocolate and gift cards. Founded in 2011 by four sisters-in-law: Caroline Mulroney Lapham and Jessica, Vanessa and Katy Mulroney, the charity initiative now runs in many cities across Canada and the US, including Montreal, Calgary, Vancouver and Halifax. Last year, thanks to the generosity of countless people in December 2014, they delivered gifts to over 17,000 women using 270 shelters and outreach programs in 72 communities! They also collect and deliver hundreds of shoeboxes in honour of other occasions such as Mother’s Day and Nelson Mandela Day. The following pictures were taken at a wrapping party, where donations and sponsorship from corporation are all gathered and ready to be boxed and wrapped up. Tri […]
