Ali & Nathan – Engagement
Ali & Nathan | Engagement Ali & Nathan suggested us to go up to the countryside to her parent’s residence in Amaranth, Ontario to do their engagement photoshoot. If you know us well, Dewey and I are always up for new adventures and we love discovering new places. The drive up to Amaranth was refreshing with beautiful views of farmland and greenery. We were welcomed by her lovely parents who invited us to have lunch with the family after the photoshoot. We had so much fun during the engagement shoot and afterward with Ali’s family. Needless to say, the wedding day will be a wonderful day and we can’t wait. Kim Location: Amaranth, Ontario
Julia & Alex | Engagement
Julia & Alex | Engagement From the bride to be: My fiance and I have had the pleasure to work with Kim and Dewey for our engagement shoot and now for our upcoming wedding! And what a dynamic and creative duo they are! I first met Dewey when he came into a Barber shop I was working at and I had the opportunity to cut his hair! When we got to talk, I found to my delight that he and his wife did wedding photography. Kim with her graphic design skills and creative eye and Dewey with his strong photography skills and vibrant personality, I grabbed the chance to have them as our wedding photographers. Dewey had found his barber and I had found our wedding photographers, the perfect match! Their professionalism, dedication, and love for what they do is evident in their work. They have made our engagement shoot a day for us to remember. Fun and comfortable, they put any worries we may have had about being in front of a camera at ease. I am so happy to have found them and can’t wait to see what photography magic they will make of our Big Day! ❤❤❤ […]
Stephanie & Hugo | Engagement
Stephanie & Hugo | Engagement When Stephanie & Hugo first contacted us to inquire about our packages, they invited us over to their place for brunch. Hugo insisted to make us some fresh arepa, a dish from his country in Venezuela. One thing everyone always say is “never say no to a client” and we love arepa so of course, there is no way we were going to decline the invitation. If you know Dewey and I, you know that good food makes us very happy. To be honest, we have made dinner and invited people over our place many many times, but rarely has anyone took their time to make us food. We chatted and laughed over delicious food and had a great time. Hands down, this was the best meet and greet with a couple ever, because beside the great food, we also gain new friends. -Kim
Alaya & Daniel | Engagement
Alaya & Daniel | Engagement We always suggest our couple to do an engagement session prior to the wedding so they can see how we work and get familiar with the camera pointing at them. Alaya & Daniel needed none of those warm-up because they were naturally comfortable and fun in front of the lens, a dream for any photographer. We drove down to Dundas Peak for a beautiful view of the city. Fun summer day with a lovely couple. Gear: Canon 5D Mark III | Canon 6D Location: Spencer Gorge Conservation Area, Hamilton
Serly & Tho | Engagement
Serly & Tho | Engagement We started our engagement session exploring the Ryerson campus, where Tho graduated. Toronto never seems to stop surprising us as we can find beauty anywhere we turn. Serly & Tho wanted their beloved city featured in their pictures. Roaming around the busy downtown and the waterfront, we sure had a great time capturing these precious moments for the soon to be wed couple. Devina & Brendan | Engagement
Devina & Brendan | Engagement Brendan and Devina met in the spring of 2012, at Brant House, while they were enjoying a night out with their friends. Although Devina had passed her two drink limit that night, and has little, to no memory of meeting Brendan at all, the two decided to reconnect a few weeks later at the movies after Devina got reassured by her friend that Brendan was in fact “good looking”. Brendan proposed to Devina on October 2nd, 2015. He retraced their second date, which had originally ended with them losing their way to a gelato store, and landing up in a random park in Toronto. This time around, Brendan knew exactly where he was heading, but Devina didn’t. When they arrived at the dimly lit park, Devina got startled as she saw a dark shadow walking towards her. To her surprise, the Shadow approaching was none other than a musician who had been arranged to play Ed Sheeran’s ‘thinking out loud’, as Brendan got down on one knee, with a gorgeous ring in his hand. Shannon & Chris | Engagement
Shannon & Chris | Engagement From the bride to be: We have known each other since we were teenagers, but it wasn’t until we were adults that we became good friends. The more time we spent together, the closer we became. We thought we would make great roommates and moved in together late fall of 2013. By Valentine’s day we were madly in love. We knew we were perfect for each other and were engaged 8 months later. Each day going forward brings us closer and more in love. We are now best friends. -Shannon Gear: Canon 5D Mark III | Canon 6D
Kathy & Victor | Toronto Engagement
Kathy & Victor | Toronto Engagement Toronto in the summer is the sort of place that is just meant to be photographed. So add an adorable, in love duo who has been together over 15 years in the mist of a green park and you’ve got an ever lasting e-session. Kathy and Victor haven’t had many pictures taken together in the past but they were nowhere near shy when it came to posing together. Their big day will be at the beautiful Donalda Golf Club in Toronto and we’re looking forward to go for another round with these two. See you soon! -Dewey
Mitwa & Ralph | Montreal Engagement
Mitwa & Ralph | Montreal Engagement From the bride to be: Back in November of 2014, although the temperature was about -20° C we were “casually” found to be in a secluded park overlooking the Saint Lawrence River to a breath taking view of Montreal. This was my first and Ralph’s second visit to Montreal and we wanted to make the most out of it and that he did! This was no casual visit. While sitting on a bench and enjoying the view he slowly pulled out his phone, read a very sweet poem he had written for me and then popped the question! There I was with a ring on my finger and officially engaged to my fiancé. We met the first time earlier that year in Hamilton, Ontario when Ralph had driven down from his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio for the Easter weekend. We started dating soon after and didn’t take much time to realise that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives with each other. And here we are now, back in Montreal for our engagement shoot. We had such a blast with our photographer Dewey, who made us feel totally comfortable. We now look […]
